How often do I hear on the street "Hey! Newspapers are dead! Magazines are finished! Kaput to the printed word and all advertisements that go along with it!"? Hearing this fills me with rage. Yes. Print is dead. Right. So why do I work in integrated marketing? That's when I tell the coffee cart guy on the corner to just give me my bearclaw and keep his opinions on media to himself.

But wait! Hold the phones. Is print really dead? Or is it a gateway to a NEW DIMENSION? I'm not high off my bearclaw, I'm just excited. What am I talking about? Let's just say it starts with Google... Topics: advertising, interactive        1 Comment Read Full Post

I first learned of the band The Arcade Fire through my former college roommate and co-DJ. I would play bubble gum pop like N*Sync and pre-tragedy Britney (hey, it got us skyhigh Allentown ratings!) and Aaron would play indy music I had never, ever heard of. A tale of two social networks

Posted by JR on January 28 at 1:10 PM I was extremely late in getting on the MySpace bandwagon. My friends descended upon the growing social network in troves. Adding photos, leaving comments, and telling me all the fun I was missing out on. Finally I relented (not for any reason but to gain access to friends' photos). How smart of MySpace to force you to create a profile in order to see those of others!
